DESCRIPTION
Nymphs are 19mm and under
As adults, they have the marking of an orange jack-o-lantern face on a black cat's head on their prothorax.
Death Head roaches are slow breeders originating in Mexico and Central America. They are found on forest floors, among rotting wood and leaf matter. They don't climb smooth surfaces or fly.
No special lighting is required, they live happily from 75 to 85° with breeding occurring in the higher range. They prefer 65-80% humidity.
Nymphs want to burrow, so provide 2 to 3 inches of substrate such forest bed substrate (e.g. damp coco-coir and/or peat moss with rotting logs and cork bark). While your Dubia may love being held, disturb your Death Head roaches as little as possible.
Death head love fruit; they love bananas, carrots, and orange colored squash. We always recommend Repashy Bug Burger to be offered at all times for adequate hydration and protein needs.
