DESCRIPTION
Discoid have a high moisture content and are high in protein.
Discoid Roaches do not fly or climb on smooth surfaces so housing in Sterilite or Rubbermaid containers is perfect with screened lids. Give them egg crates stacked vertically, and coco fiber bedding on the bottom (just be sure it's chemical free).
Because they are nocturnal, they thrive best when kept in the dark. They love the heat! Keep them between 80 and 95°, and give them lots of water to keep them hydrated. We always recommend Repashy Bug Burger for complete nutrition and hydration all-in-one and find that Discoid love more protein in their diet than Dubia or Lobsters.
Besides Bug Burger, vegetables like kale that are high in moisture and sweet potatoes that are high in protein are great for your Discoid. Fruits tend to attract gnats and flies, so use them with caution. They will love bananas though!
